Checkpoint
What is Checkpoint ? It is the name given to Cambridge Lower Secondary curriculum.
Why Checkpoint ? Accurately measuring a student’s potential and progress can transform learning and help us make informed decisions about individual learners, their educational needs and where to focus our teaching efforts.
What Checkpoint subjects do we use? For the year 2023 Science, Maths English, ICT, Music & Art.
IGCSE
An education that starts with "I" stands for so much more. Cambridge IGCSE was created more than 30 years ago. Today, it’s the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year olds. Not only is it truly international - it gives students more options than any other international qualification. That means more subjects to choose from, more ways to learn and more ways to succeed.
It is a two year programme with exams in May/June of the second year.
At CKS we follow CIE curruicum for 6 core subjects [Bahasa Indonesia, English, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry]. Some students elect to study other subjects. Subject availability depends on teacher availability & student numbers. IGCSE subjects that we have offered are Business Studies, ICT, Design & Technology, Food & Nutrition, Chinese, Art & Design, History, Geography, Drama, French, English Literature. ( offered in 2023 ).
Cambridge International AS & A Level
Explanation Cambridge International AS Level syllabus content is half a Cambridge International A Level. Top Universities typically look for 2 to 3 A-Levels = 4 to 6 AS Level. At CKS the AS curriculum has been integrated into the Nasional Curriculum for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology. Students that aim to study abroad might elect to take additional AS subjects or do extra study to prepare for full A-Level.
We believe in being as flexible as possible to fulfill the needs of our students.
